Androo

Harkening from Cootamunderra NSW, Androo grew up with music in his blood. His father was a local pianist with media acclaim and a Guinness book of records music title to boot!

Androo is a multi-instrumentalist playing guitar, keys and harmonica; with 25+ years performing experience to draw on. His ‘harp’ playing provides that ‘extra’ live blues/rock influence.

His singing is articulated through such artists as The Beatles, Steve Earle, Live, Paul Kelly, Robert Palmer and Dire Straits.

His style adds depth and versatility to Common Ground Duo’s breadth of genres and musical influences.

People will hear his voice and playing on everything from Neil Diamond, Bob Seger, Crowded House, Hunters & Collectors; as well as more modern music heroes including, Green Day, Diesel, Matchbox Twenty, 4 Non-Blonds and Collective Soul.

A born entertainer, and never shy, Androo relishes the opportunity to ensure crowds have a great time, enjoy classic hits, sing along, and feel the vibe!

Jamie

Jamie grew up in Albury NSW, within a musical family. His father owned a local music shop and is a well known guitarist there; his mother a pianist. Jamie’s two younger brothers are a drummer and bass player. His sister plays a mean stereo!

Jamie plays piano as well as rhythm / lead guitar; and has had commercial releases of his songs (in the distant past).

His singing style is articulated through many years of classical voice training (hasn’t helped!) and is influenced by 80’s to noughties rock and pop, trad jazz and classical music.

His style contributes to Common Ground Duo’s breadth of genres and muscial influences.

People will hear his voice and playing on tunes from John Mellencamp, CCR, Crowded House, Angels, Aust Crawl, Cold Chisel, Fleetwood Mac, as well as song covers from the likes of Shaboozey, Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Green Day, and Ed Sheeran.

Jamie ensures crowds have a great time, and leave with an experience, not just a show.
